JOIN / RENEW NOW...

Dear Members of the Guild,

The Guild is a volunteer group of men and women who feel that music matters enough to take time away from their homes, families, jobs and other individual pursuits to support our city’s premier cultural resource, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. We are a link between the orchestra and the community, making Greenville aware of the privilege of having a high caliber regional orchestra.

Since it began in 1958, the Guild of the Greenville Symphony has grown from a small group of women to an organization other groups use as a model. The Guild has encouraged community support through its volunteer and fundraising projects. The most remarkable aspect of our success is that we have had fun and made friends while working for something we believe is important.

Our volunteer activities this year include the Tour of Homes on October 2-4 and the Black & White Ball on March 13, 2010. Other opportunities for you to contribute your time and talent include providing meals to the orchestra between rehearsals, ushering at the Michelin Children’s’ Concerts, helping with Symphony office special projects, and hosting Concert previews. Please say yes when you are asked to help, or better yet, call and offer your help.

It’s a privilege for me to be associated with such an amazing group. I hope we all enjoy working together to ensure another successful Guild and Symphony season. For all of us, music matters.

Sincerely,

Peggy Hill
